I was at the car sound shop this weekend talking to my friend and after hearing a custom install they did with 3 12" MTX on a Suburban he suggested to me to do a 3 12" Polk Momo sub system in my car. My question: Do you have any Subbox plans for 3 subs? I have seen JL Audio with a 3 Sub Box and was wondering if I can use that Sub Box and replace the JL Woofers with the Momo's? I appreciate any help. And question number two: With Three Momo's do I need to get another Amp or bridge another Kenwood X401 amp? or what are your recommendations for AMPS to power 3 12" Momo... I guess its the summer heat making us want MORE AND MORE Polks in our cars
First detemine the internal sealed box volume of the enclosure to see if it is compatable with the recommended sealed volume for the MOMO's. If it is a vented enclosure, then we need to know what is the volume and the tuning frequency. If you are looking for a extreme, highly efficient hip-hop bass response, then I would suggest using 4 woofers in a Isobaric push pull band pass
enclosure. The plans are attached below. I would also recomend using two amps to drive each pair of subs.
Thanks,
Kim
