I have a pair of the infinity perfect 10.1's and just received a pair of the q-logic boxes for them from Crutchfield (the boxes I received do not come with the qxe ring that the better ones do).

The sub has a smaller Dia. then most subs of the same size so I am running right up at the screw hole on the subs to the opening on the box. The gasket they give you with the perfect is the crapest gasket I have ever seen!!! like 1/8" wide maybe.

The subs dia is 9" and the box is 9.25" being this is the smallest Q-Logic opening on there boxes for sealed 10".

Does any one know where I can get a good wide gasket so I can seal off around the sub or can the qxe ring be bought seperate that will help seal my sub off without having to build a SMALLER TOPPLATE FOR MOUNTING THE SUB TO.

Thanks Donny

Sounds like a good question to ask the folks at Crutchfield.

I'm sure if you walked around home depot long enough you'll find something you can make a gasket out of.

I do not think a gasket will help you if the screw holes are already hitting the edge of the box. Sounds like you will either need to make a new baffle for them on the boxes you already have, or get some new boxes with smaller mounting holes.

I actually wouldve suggest sending them back and running down to your local shop and seeing what they had in the way of pre-made boxes. I bet they couldve fixed you up and probably cheaper.

But you got it worked out.

I got these boxes for $49 each shipped and all the places around me wanted $75 and up for 5/8 MDF built boxes.

Thanks for all the sugestions!

Wow! Thats pretty steep!

Most of the premade boxes down at my local shops run from $25-100.

I still say the best way is to build it yourself if you can. Much cheaper!! ;)

I bought my last 3/4" mdf box for $40 dollars. The one before that was $35 dollars, 3/4" mdf as well. These were from local dealers.
