I'm not going to go into detailed review of the Jolida. I think there's been plenty of that on this forum. It's a popular CDP and highly regarded.
But, I used to have my Dared tube-pre hooked up inline with my 5.1 Lsi system because I loved the tube sound and 2-channel listening on my Lsi15's. I have since moved and placed the Dared in a new 2-channel rig with my NHT SB3's to give them that tube sound. I noticed that inadvertently my 2-channel rig was getting most of my usage/attention and I wasn't listening to music much anymore with my Lsi15's. I recently acquired the Jolida and initially hooked it up to the 2-channel rig and liked it a lot. But as planned I tried it out on the Lsi15's also and whoa nelly, I love listening to music once again on my 15's. The Lsi's reveal more of what the Jolida brings to the table (more than the NHT's). I once again love to just sit on the old couch and listen to music on my Lsi15's.
I have a feeling the Jolida may stay on my Lsi's. This has probably been said before, but I guess for those of you who like the tube sound but don't have a dedicate tube rig and need to keep your solid state theater setup, and a tube CDP certainly can get you that same great sound, just like adding a tube pre.
Now I have the best of both worlds. A tube pre on my 2-channel setup to give me the sound I like, and a tube CDP in my theater setup to give me that sound there also :)
Some people love tubes, some people say the hell with them. Either way, I tried them and love what they do to music, plain an simple. So, I'll have them around in some fashion.

I know exactly what you are hearing.....when I got the Jolida (gone already) my previous player was that Cambridge D500SE you have now...great player, but the Jolida is in another league...

Enjoy!!!

Sounds nice. I was actually thinking of upgrading my cd player.

wing, with all that other stuff you got, you WAY overdue for a CD upgrade. go get em

I got the Jolida, and I know there is better, but for how much?!?!

cant see me parting with the Jolida anytime soon.
the Oppo does a beter job than I thought for cd's in my Theater system, but if I see a used tube player for a sweet price, I would consider getting one for the theater to bump up music ability for the theater another notch (for when I'm too lazy to go to the basement for 2 channel :D

What do you guys think is fair market value for one of these. I will be looking to sell shortly, although mine is not in perfect shape. Bought it with a couple of dings in the front window and a chasis screw missing. This was not disclosed to me at the time of my purchase.

I have just been pretty content with my Pioneer 79avi I guess. If the Anthem processes the sound does the transport really matter though?
