I own a fairly cheap receiver(JVC Rx-6010V) and ive had the cs175i center channel connected to it and it sounded thin and not very natural at all.

Thinking this was a speaker issue , i upgraded to the Cs1 because it has 2 woofers and believed it would make a difference. It sounds a little better but still empty. Is this a characteristic of the CS line or could it be a poor center amp in the receiver? I have messed around with the speaker level settings and the delay and size settings, still makes no difference. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

try plugging one of your main front spekaers to the center channel speaker connection and see what the result is.. then also. connect your Cs1 to one of the left or right front connection and see what's up.

then report back and maybe we can help you figure out what's going on from there.

good luck.

Upgrade the receiver before you buy any more speakers.
