The Eclipse amp is a strong one and I am going back and forth in my head on how to hook this up. It is a 4 channel amp and I have only the one set of SR6500.

Here is a link for the amp specs

Should I bypass the bulky crossovers and use the crossover on the amp. This would free me up some amp rack space for me which I greatly need.

Should I bridge it and run one channel to each set?

Or should I run just 2 channels leaving 2 unhooked?

I would use the x-overs designed by Polk for those specific drivers. They will also give the tweeter a little protection. For power, I would try your last option first and see how you like it.

Why not run all 4ch's to them, it will give you more control....

That is a lot of power and could easily rip those SR's to shreds if you bi-amp them and youre not careful.

However, I would say that running them thru the SR crossovers would be your best bet. It would offer a measure of protection and, its an excellent crossover.

Just make sure to remember, that is a LOT of power so use common sense with the gains and volume. ;)

I have a 450/4 with gain at 12 o'clock froma Nak. MB-x head and 5 Volt pre-outs sending 150 watts per side to my SR6500 through the sr crossover and they sound awesome and so far I have had no issue from the sr's and they play very loud but yet so soft if you no what I mean. Beautiful speakers!!!!!
