So I was driving to UT Arlington today getting ready to take care of some things I had to get done to sign up for class. With everything that happened the last year with that school I already felt like there was bad karma there.
In a right turn lane getting on a busy street, the woman in front takes off and so I proceed to advance up to the light. I look at traffic coming my way and when I look forward again, she had stopped. I slammed on the brakes to no avail. Long story short, and 7k later, I end up in a rental and no tacoma for 3 weeks.
2 ironic things happen:
The girl I hit is heading up to UTA herself, so the UTA karma seems to be even worse.
Right before the wreck happened, I had pictured myself getting into one as I pulled up to the light.
The estimator told me the big problem was that it was an '07 model that was not in the system yet, so ordering parts would be the big problem as far as time. As I'm about to pull out of debt, a 250 deductible plus 2 missed days of work put me back at least 400. Life is great.
