These speakers amaze me! I am still humping them by moving them all over the place for best image! But man even with this little amp, these things rock!

I was wondering though, Do these have a break in period? Cause they seem to sound sweeter everyday! These sl2500 are a little harsh, but they are toning down a bit!

Wanted to say thanks for all the advice! A lot of good people on here!

Are you speaking of the new tweets you got from Polk (refering to your other thread). Because if they sold you new sl2500's, those are the wrong tweets. I was going to order the RDO's a while back and I made the mistake of not specifically mentioning the model # and he (not Ken) told me the sl2500 were the current replacement for the sl2000's. I then asked him for the RDO's by model #. They were out of stock at that time (about a year ago) and I ended up selling by RTA's before the upgrade.

I still have the orginals in (sl2500) haven't had the funds to buy the new ones yet. So the i need to order by p/n RDO's? if i do decide to buy them?

I think it takes time for your ears to get use to these? At first i was in love, then it changed to too much harshness and now they seem to be calming down, So i might just keep the original sl2500's...

I'm confused  . These are used speakers (correct) so I was just wondering why you are asking if the tweets will break in. They should be well broken in unless they are spanking new which I gather from your responses they are not. Your original post made it sound like you just bought them (the tweets) because you were asking about a break in period.

Sorry for the confussion... these speakers are used, but the guy who had them before me never really used them... More of a conversation piece... Now that i have them i am driving them pretty hard and or my ears are just getting use to a GOOD set of speakers
