Replacement Tweeter TL3.1

Got crazy, blew tweeters, SL3000 no longer available, told by Polk rep that
RD 0198-01 is substitute tweeter. Asked him if there was any fit problems, he did not know. All he said he was aware of is that the RD 0198-01 was the acceptable substitute.
Can anyone tell me if it is a direct replacement fit, is there a change to mounting, what about tonal differences. Any information is solicited. I'm doing good had not had a problem for 4 years.

Yes they are direct fit. I have them! Dont forget to say club polk and get the discount!

I have not had a chance to properly "break them in" yet. Most everyone's opinion is that they are as good or better....at the worst better than nothing!

They sound great; be careful with the volume...the 3.1's do not have tweeter protection (though I assume you know that by now...)

Thank you for your input. Careful with the volume HMMM I'll try to work on it!
I got carried away by pushing the volume up button instead of volume down.
Too much celebrating the N.O Saints victory if you know what I mean.
