I have a pair of SDA2-B's and was thinking about driving them with my Denon surround sound reciever as the right and left channel. The only problem is that then receiver is rated at 80 watts/channel @ 8ohms. I've read multiple places that the SDA2's like a lot of power. Will these work ok for what I want to use them for, or will I have to buck up and get a higher end receiver, or even go with a power amp to drive them?
Any input would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Jim

your receiver should run them,of course at a later date use seperate componets if you wish to bring them up to another level or maybe a good tube integrated. Have fun ans enjoy

I agree with George. When I first got my 2B’s, I ran them from a Carver receiver rated at 60 wpc and they sounded fine. But, at some point, you will want to get a more powerful amp/receiver. Enjoy!
