His name is Bogie. Picked him up on Saturday. This is the first photo of him in the back of my mom's Toyota Highlander, outside of a sushi restaurant. He's only a baby at 7 months old, but he weighs a whopping 70 pounds already. Actually, Bogie is my sister's dog, but we get a chance to take him out and walk him as well. He's very well-behaved and very playful. Doesn't bark much....unless you're another dog. For some reason, he prefers cottage cheese with his dog food. Quite a handful :D

Hehehe....he likes to laydown when the car is in motion, but as soon as the car comes to a stop, he will "pop up" and scare the drivers behind our car. :D

Actually, I've had three Airedales (I think that is what they were, dad and I found 2 puppies while riding our bikes) we kept one and named it Brownie and gave one to a friend that lives about 30 minutes from us but we were told it ran away. My neighbor shot Brownie and then another one, fully grown, that looked like the one we gave away came to our house (We named him Licky - he liked to lick) but he was hit by a car.

He can get as big as about 90 pounds. My sister took him to the vet today and Bogie actually lose 2 pounds within the last couple of weeks. He is extremely strong and if he's in a stubborn mood, he will not be moved. Period.

Bogie is an Old English Sheepdog, or OES. Bogie was quite passive the first couple of days we had him, but he seems to be becoming agressive towards people/dogs walking by the house. He still enjoy having his tummy rubbed.

There've been times when cottage cheese was about the only thing my dogs would eat - although they were very old and food wasn't working for them very well...

Our 17 year old cocker spaniel now likes garlic on her kibble... we'd accidentally dropped some on the floor and she went nuts licking it up - so we started putting it on her food. She loves veggies as well.

So that's what the farting was about? We were told by the breeder that Bogie likes cottage cheese and yogart with his food. For the first couple of days, he was farting big time. I swear....it was deadly. :D Since we stopped feeding him the yogart (mixed in with his puppy food), the deadly poison gas attack has stopped.

On the other hand, he went to the vet for a complete checkup yesterday and after having blood drawn from him, he kinda "snapped". He has somewhat returned to normal today.

JKN, you have some unbelievable photos on that site.. I would love to have a few for backgrounds on my computer.. You should try to get those published.. I have no clue how to even go about something like that, but someone somewhere out there has got to have a need for some of those nature shots... They look professionally done.. Just a thought..

As far as London's garlic breath - yeah! It's definitely strong at times. I'm sure she'll tire of garlic within a week - she's becoming really picky and not wanting to eat much (she's 17 after all!).

That's really nice of you to say! I have a few more that that I like and want to get uploaded (my original gallery was squashed a while back...). I'm not a pro (if you compare mine to a real pro - you'll definitely see the difference! It's like comparing a mid-range set of speakers with better ones where the person knew what they were doing setting them up - both are very good, but one is clearly better. )

I just do it for fun.

We've used photos on my cd releases - but nothing more than that. (example: http://foundrysite.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=30 scroll down to 'extras' and click on the .pdf to see a couple of shots and a lot of rambling about recording that project.)

I would have to agree, you have an excellent eye for composition (I'm no pro but I did get an A in photography ;) ) some of your colors are off but that is nothing editing can't fix. What type of camera do you use?

Garlic and brewers yeast.....the organic way to keep flee's and other critters off the critters you love.You guys should read up on some of the crap that goes on with vet shots,dog food,etc...you'd be shocked.

Sony DSC-F717 (pics of the camera: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2002_reviews/f717.html ) - I love this camera due to the pivot on the lens. It's great to hold at waist height or at odd angles that would be difficult without the pivot.

I'm really still learning - I started in 2001 when my wife wanted a new camera and decided she wanted an SLR and then she just got hooked on the F717 and decided to wait on the SLR. At that time I was getting stalled on writing music (a bit of a writer's block) and found the camera to be a great creative outlet. I love macros. I need to track down my cicada shot -found it - still in my old gallery albums:

A bit fuzzy up around it's head - but I've always been happy with that shot. It had just emerged earlier in the day and was drying it's wings so it was willing to put up with my lens being an inch from it...

That pic is great. Yes, macro lenses are awesome, I need to get one for my SLR or just get a new DSLR and go crazy with lenses :D (If only I could afford multiple hobbies-actually, I can't afford any hobbies lol)

But yes, dogs are awesome. I'm more of a cat person myself but I can't imagine not having dogs. We have 2 now, a schnauzer that is around 15 and a mutt that is HUGE.

We used to have an Old English. Nice dog but dumber than a box of rocks. Actually would walk into a tree, back up, then walk into it again...

So far, he has ran into a sign post and the back of a pickup truck. He has also banged his head into the stair railing and various walls.

I wonder if this is why he refuses to retrieve the ball....he just grab it and runs away. :D

these are my two special kids.......The white one just got adopted....I am basically a foster parent for these two until they find a permanent home, or I decide to keep them. I am adopting the black one next week. Decided I wanted to keep him around....:D

This is why I stay away from shelters. I would have a house full of puppys and dogs and my wife would leave me!!! I keep telling my wife we need to adopt a pup to give my moose a playmate. She keeps asking who's gonna pick up the poop, of course I volunteer but the track record shows differently.:D
