Is there a DVD player that has progressive scan, dvd-a or sacd or both built and can do DD,DTS and MP3?

I was at CC last night and this search is getting pretty frustrating.

Thanks

i just bought a panasonic rp-91 and love it. does all the things that you were interested in. might be a bit pricy though, i got mine for $470. i think they just came out with a new model, the rp82 that is less expensive. you also might want to check out the denon dvd1600, that was the other one i was looking at.

The new denon DVD-9000. Ahhhhhhhh. I nearly crapped my pants when reading about it. Then I saw the price and almost did it again.

I want to go hear that paired up with the 5803.

The Apex Digital AD-7701 does everything you mentioned, but it currently has a problem that Apex is trying to figure out.

Sony's NS500V does it all except MP3s.

If you go to kenwoodusa.com, you can get a promotional dvd for free that has info on their product line. That's not the good part lol. It also has a faroudja video test that I think is great for trying out progressive scan dvd players. It's a good way to see what players are doing good, plus I think it's a great way to see which players have realistic colors. You'd be surprised how bad some are.

Also, you can email me at fireshoes@budweiser.com if you want to order the Yamaha. I can probably get you a decent price on it from the store I work at.

Thank You very much Fireshoes, I'll probably be doing something in mid September so expect a ping. I'm taking the family home at the end of the month so thats the reason for the hold time.

Best Regards

I understand your disire for one player to do it all but what do you want? MP3 is not a quality recording. SACD and DVDA are fine. DTS is outstanding. Progressive scan is needed for optimal viewing on a HDTV set. I agree with another post. Love the Sony DVP-S9000ES.

BTW I did hear good things about the Pioneer.

I want the lesser Q stuff because of friends who are in a band also do recording.

Not only MP3 but all the cd recordings also...
My system does pretty well with music and I would like to help him listen to his mix. Its just a feature thing not a quality thing...Thats all???
