Strange SACD Anamoly?????

How would an SACD player cut out a guitar solo from a song? The solo is there when played on my other player through the same preamp/amp/speakers.

You can faintly hear it in the background as if it were a side of stereo being dropped out, but no balance knobs or controls on my rig, just volume.

check your SACD settings, is it set for 2 channel or multi channel?
I will guess the guitar is on the center channel.

Good catch Russ.....my player is defaulting to multi channel each time I load a disc. I will have to find out how to set it to 2 ch as the default. I don't even have multi channel hooked up on this player yet.

I'm sitting here switching between the 1230s and a pair of "new to me" CRS+ that I just got this week..............life is good.

Same thing happened with DSOTM, the cash register in Money was missing chachings had to set it to 2 ch.
