I have a psw202 subwoofer. Inside is a 2 amp, 250 volt fuse. The fuse blows everytime I plug the subwoofer in. Everything inside looks okay, nothing is burnt. I'm stumped.

If it blows instantly when you plug it in,then it sounds like the amp has an internal fault or the voice coil in the woofer is shorted.
If it is still under warranty then take it to the dealer. If not then you can disconnect the woofer and see if the amp still blows fuses. If it still does without the driver connected then you have a faulty amp.If it only blows when the woofer is connected then the woofer is at fault.

Or there might be an internal short in the amp somewhere that only shows when a load is applied.
Odd, but it does happen.

I foresee a trip to California for that amplifier. This is not an uncommon fault in that particular amplifier/subwoofer.

Hello,
Thanks for posting, I'm sorry you're having a problem with the PSW202. It would be best to go ahead and take the amplifier out of the enclosure and disconnect the red wire and black wire from the 10" woofer. Then box the amplifier up and send it to Polk Audio, 2550 Britannia Blvd., Suite A, San Diego, CA. 92154. Please include a short note giving us your name, address and where and when it was purchased. We'll, quickly, repair and test your amplifier and send it back to you. They try and get them done within 48 to 72hours of getting them.
Regards, Ken
