I've had this record, which by the way ROCKS THE HOUSE!!!, since 1985. I bought it new from I don't remember where. I'll tell people of my record collection and at some point I always bring this one up. It is an extended special mix of PHil Collin's "Sussudio" and "Man with the Horn." Sussudio is on side A, it's over six minutes and Sussudio and Man with the Horn is on side B. I've never come across another person who had this record.

Have you ever seen or heard it before???

BTW normal listening level on my preamp for vinyl is 10:30 to 11:30 on the attenuator. I listen to vinyl kind of loud. Normal sound pressure level is about 90 to 96 db. This recording, with all dynamics in tact tips the meter at over 108db and the rig doesn't even strain in the least.

Could be one of thos "disco" or dance mixes that were popular in the '80's. Check out the DJ tunes on eBay and else where.

There are at least two people on this planet with it and The Clamp (http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47286).

Joe. I know it along with my SDA's, walls, and neighbors that complained then moved. Carl is correct, it's one of those '80's 12" remixes that were all the rage. I spent a good bit of time browsing Tower Records and small record shops for these. If it was not for the price I would have more. Domestic 12'' single remixes sold for about $4 and $9 - $20 for imports. I cursed out loud when certain remixes were only released as imports and had to pass them up. When you figure the cost of an album was around $8 it was hard to buy loads of these unless you had cash to burn or were a D.J.

Since you enjoy that pressing, here are a few more from memory ( either my ears or the bones ) that I guarantee you will have just as much fun with. Cranking these will flex your SDA's, walls, settle your foundation, and give your bones a massage. As I get deeper back into vinyl I'm sure a few more will surface.

1) Irene Cara "What a feeling" 7:16 + "No doubt" 4:20
2) Michael Sembello "Maniac" 5:53 + "Instrumental" 5:08
3) Shannon "Let the music play" 5:49 + "Dub version" 6:10
4) Chaka Khan "I feel for you" 7:12 + "Chinatown" 4:33

Steve the first two pictures display the cover that the LP came in. Mine was damaged in that flood I spoke of months ago. So I had to toss the cover and make a new one . . . that's the bro . . .now I know another human being who has this recording. By the by do you find it very dynamic???? I don't mean just loud I mean all the instrument dynamics in-tact?

Thanks for all the info.

Dynamic. That's a good description. The other records listed have very similar dynamics to that cut of Sussudio and are still enjoyable when listened to at insane levels. I think this is called basking in the music.

When playing Sussudio I can feel every instruments in my bones. It makes my hair stand up.
