Please explain the difference between speaker size and crossover setting.
Are they both doing the same thing with only x-over being more specific?

Are you talking about mains and subs, or the crossover within the cabinets?

Speaker crossover setting in the AVR in relation to the speaker size setting in the AVR.

You need to know the specs on your main speakers first. If they go down to say 100hz at -3bd then you would want to set your crossover at 100. Large and small is there for Peple that don't know how to truly set up speakers. If you have speakers that go down to say 60hz, and they have small drivers like 5.25's then you might want to set it at 80hz. It also depends on the sub you are using. Some subs can be boomy at 100hz (like mine), and I have very large SDA1.2s that go real low so I set mine at 40 for the sub, and full range for the mains. Your receiver may put out the full spectrum to the mains if you set it to large. What do you have for a system?

Just read your sig
If you are using the 6's as the mains I would set the fronts to 80hz to take some of the bass load off of them ;)

Thanks Ben,
Thats what I suspected. I have been experimenting with 100hz and 80hz.
I thought 100 sounded better at first, but once I adjusted the sub with 80hz, I think there is a richer sound coming from the mains.

Yeah at 100 the BOOM effect probably is there to show off, but music especially is better at 80.
Experiment and Enjoy
