Ok, call me naive, but is this really true?

I recently upgraded my DVD player, from a Target brand Memorex to a used Pioneer player from Mark here on the forum. Watched a movie last night on it, and the bass was so much louder, the overall volume was better and I'd have to say the Audio was just a notch improved.

Will a source improve all of this, or are my ears just clearing up from allergies?

I just updraded my CD source from an older Rotel 965 to an Ah! Njoe with the upsampler,,I'm hearing things on disc that I never knew were there,,I don't think that source can be over emphasized,,the music is much " smoother" and less harsh/bright to my old ears. Enjoy :)

Absolutely!!! The better the source the better (or in the case of poor recordings) or worse the sound. This is what so many including myself preach about all the time. You gotta hear it to believe it sometimes.

I believe I believe!!!

I don't notice that big of an improvement in the visual side of things, but again, I'm not running a HDTV either.

All in all, a worthy 70 dollar upgrade I would say! Thanks Mark (but mostly Kevin (opus) for the recommendation!)
