OK... little money and need something capable of not damaging a 5.1 setup with the following speakers:
mains: RT7 (possibly RT16)
center: CS350
surround: LS f/x

I know using an av receiver as a prepro would be best, but lets assume that is over budget (for now). I have a store credit at fry's, so to use that I would have to exclude pioneer gear. The options seem to be in the yamaha, denon, HK, JVC and Sony lines.

The HK340 for $399 looks like a good bet (or the HK245 with HDMI for $100 more). Are there any others from the listed manufacturers I should have a look at???

Thanks.
