The Lexicon has a sale pending, but they make nice stuff for HT. If I were going to do HT I'd seriously consider them.

I vote for the Sim.Though at that price point, options are endless.
Maybe split the cash between an amp and upgrade source.

I would avoid the Lexicon. I heard a few of their 7 channel amps and was not impressed. Lex is known for their processors, not amps.
The Sim looks nice and may fit the bill. Just a question though, why not just add a Sunfire amp to your existing sunfire pre at a fraction of the cost?

The 3k6 is really nice. Stop by sometime for a listen if you are in the area.... :) (I am sure it will be making an appearance at the chicago polkfest this summer)

Edit - PolkWannabe has both a Sunfire and Cinepro 1k2 amp so he may be able to tell you if one will work better than another for your application. Might be worth a PM before you put your money down.

well we are bulding a new house maybe sometime in the next year so i will have a clean slate for a theater so most of the gear i am going to sell with the house as a theater package around 10k but have not finilesed amount. the gear i will keep are all the speakers and the sub the remote and all the gameing systems so the pre and the projector will be going. my new theater i will have free rain and i am thinking of going with a 20ish ft by 26ish ft with 8-10 ft celings
so what i am looking to get in a amp is at least 200 wpc @8 ohm and 7 channels
for my new pre will do the new dd-hd and have hmdi 1.3

A B&K 7270 matches your stated spec need perfectly.
