Simple power switch question

I simply want to know the best RM6880 subwoofer power switch setting: auto or on? Unfortunately, my first sub, which I set to auto, just quit on me. I want to ensure that I set this new one correctly!

Auto....so it will turn on when it detects a signal.That function should have nothing to do with your prior sub takeing a dirt nap.
