I have a Toshiba hd dvd player & only have the coxial output used for sound,everything is outputed in DTS is that the way it should work? The sq is great! thanks

Yes, the Toshiba will down converts DD+ and DD TrueHD to dts so that receiver or pre will accept it since they will not decode the new formats. You should also try the 5.1 analogs (if you have them) after they are calibrated the sound REALLY good.
