It's time to move out some older pieces that just don't get the attention they deserve.
First, is the classic Adcom GFA 535 amplifier, listed at 60wpc, but has been tested when it came out at about 90wpc. Has the capability to power two sets of speakers with selector switches, and a distortion/clipping LED (though I never could get it to flash on). Exterior gets a 7.5/10 on the Audiogon scale. On the inside back a bit of rust on the bottom frame. When powering on and off a slight "pop" can be heard from the speakers. never hurt my Totem's or any other speaker I had on hand. $100 plus shipping
Second, is the Adcom GTP-450 with remote, manual, and original box. This unit is in excellent shape with a visual rating of 8.5/10. The knobs don't make noise when turned. The selector switches do create a slight pop when going from one source to another, or one station to another on the FM presets. I was told that this was "probably" a grounding issue. I don't know, I'm just being upfront with its imperfections. $175 plus shipping.
