I'm stuck, can someone give me a little advice? Trying to decide between a Harmon-Kardon AVR 35 and Luxman R-115 to bring out the best in a pair of Yamaha NS-AW350 patio speakers. Although the HK is a 5 channel how does it compare with the Luxman if used in stereo mode? Both are going for the same $$$ and in great condition.
Cliff.

I vote for the Lux. A legendary 2 channel reciever. Be aware that it's probably atleast 12-18 years old and parts are hard to come by. If it's a solid performer right now it should serve you well.

My dad has the Luxman R-115. It really suprised me when i hooked up a pair of R30's to it. Definitely sounded a hell of alot better than my pioneer reciever. It can be a little finniky sometimes, due to the age but, sounds sweet non the less.
