Telefunken 12AX7 Smoothplate - Quad

Pulls from an early Fisher unit, these are early 1960's Telefunken 12AX7 ECC83 smooth plates. They are VERY closely matched, HIGH test on my B&K tester, not only to each other, but each triode as well. 91/92 89/92 90/93 90/92, all diamond bottoms <>. Good overal lettering. Picture to be added later.

$100 shipped

Cheers,
Russ

This is a steal. This particular tube can go for as much as $200 each. I've seen it myself. Too bad I don't have much use for X7s these days.

I'd buy these in a second but I already have a few spares. I'm running them in my Ah! cdp and ae pre. Nice warm old stock tubey sound. If you haven't done any tube rolling, now's your chance.

I've got a quad for both Carl and Dave - HT, I'm sure I can fill your order too - let me pull more out of the tube closet tonight and test.

Cheers,
Russ

Russ,

Sounds great; my Audio research pre uses only three, so don't really need the quad if that helps finding something :)

Peachy. Are you stuck on Tele's (thats fine), or open to something else?

I'll pull some triads and test, and get back with you.

Cheers,
Russ

Would rather have the telefunken, but would take anything good, as long as it's not the EH's, Ei's, JJ's. etc. etc. etc.

Dude, a current production tube? What is this? Who am I?

I was thinking some 50's Mullards or somesuch. I'll get you squared away on some Tele's.

Cheers,
Russ

Dude, that's what I tried to say; no current production ;)

I'm sure you'll find something special. Thanks.
