Who out there is using Linux? What type and version?
I just finished up an install of Open SuSE 10.2 (latest version) and love it! Amazingly, it came with Open Office (looks just like MS Office), The Gimp (looks similar to Photoshop Elements) and tons of other goodies. Also has Firefox as the standard web browser.
Big thumbs up so far if you're looking for an alternative to Windows or have a spare PC to load it on. Hey, it's 100% free and legal!!!

Ive tried a few different flavors of linux, but my favorite distro to use was Ubuntu. I used Suse for a few weeks and it was by far the easiest transition from windows to linux (that, and mandrake).
Besides Ubuntu, Fedora core is probably the most current linux distro I have encountered. They seem to set the standard in interface and kernal advancements, and usually have the best driver support out of box, so to speak. Because we all know wrapping your own driver is a royal pain.

Knoppix 3.1 here.
I use SuSe at home, RedHat at work. Just finished installing a broadcast unit running RH and ASI card (DVB Master FD).

+1 for Redhat (at school).

Had Redhat installed on my spare PC a while back and I liked it. Need to think about putting it on a partition again and dual boot my system.
+1 for Redhat (at school).
Not free anymore though, unless you opt for their Fedora distro. We are using RH at work because we don't have a choice (3rd party SW issue).

I have used Mandriva, Redhat and SuSe at home.
My work computer is an AS/400.
Hmmm, Fazer, that's damn good chocolate. Well, it's not OT since both Fazer and Linux are Finnish products. :D

OpenSUSE 10.2 is nice but I had major problems with wireless configuration. I could never get my card to connect after the 1st time. I guess if never rebooted it would've been great!
I've also used OpenBSD, Ubuntu in several flavors, Fedora, RHLE, and Mandriva. They all have quirks, but I got tired of running Wine for my work apps, so I'm back to the M$ XPerience.
