That is only five channels, so as long as you have a self-powered sub, that does answer your power needs. And I do agree, they are so pretty... Brushed aluminum has always been a good look.

So, you can hook up 5.1 analog outs from a DVP to that combo?!? Then, hook up all your 2 channel stuff directly to the integrated stereo amp?
That actually sounds like a pretty cool concept, but probably pricey as hell :)

you can get both units for around 1500 bucks. What I want to know is since there is no dolby and dts processing in these, what do I use to process them since there is no digital input.

The input sensitivity, and input impedence of the two units do not match, it may be difficult to get a good level match on all 5 speakers.
I find it curious that bandwidth of both units is 22hz to 19Khz at +/-3db? Most amps are flat from at least 20hz to 20Khz, or at most +/- .5db.
And distortion is rated at less than full rated power.

ok I'm really new to seperates but I have a question. they say on the website that these work as a team. but I cant see how they connect together at all to work as a team
