View Full Version : Shipping LP's??
I've got a few LP's I've picked up at garage sales and was wanting to put a few in the FM section.
How do you guys package a single LP for shipping?
I bought an album off Ebay one time and it was shipped between two pieces of cardboard taped on the ends. Is this acceptable?
12.5 x 12.5 X the thickness of a couple of quarters......I'm not seeing any boxes in my stash that fit the bill.
Thanks,

I shipped the ones I sold on the FM by putting them between pieces of foam core board that I bought at Walmart. I used packing tape to seal the LP's in between the foam core board, then wrapped in brown packing paper, called it good. I think they all got there undamaged!

Foam core board? I'll have to venture out to WM and check the stuff out.
Is it cheap?

The ones I received from you did. They were limited editions and I really appreciated the extra care in packing.
I've received a couple of single albums sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard and they made it OK.
Thanks for the link and info polksters.

I usually fold them in half, tape it together and use two stamps.

I looked at one of the lp mailing boxes I had laying around and it had a company name on it-Bags Unlimited Inc-10 boxes for $17.70. Haven't checked to see if they're cheaper anywhere else.

U-Line seems to sell it pretty cheap.

They also have good deals on a lot of other shipping supplies.
