This may have been brought up before...
I'm looking for any info that anyone might have (ahem, HQ Polk) about the tonearm that Polk made.
Anyone? Anyone?

Hello Troy,
I believe it was the same as the Mayware Formula IV tonearm, a uni-pivot, low mass damped tone arm. It would sound best with high compliance cartridges and requires a bit of patience to setup properly. A big hit was to use it with a Kenwood turntable that had a high density synthetic marble bass and a Sanus cartridge.

"From about 1977 to 1982, Polk marketed a COUPLE of tonearms. Couple of TURNTABLES too. I mentioned this previously, a long time ago, but nobody ever listens. I'm not telling you the names of all the models again, so there.

The cartridge referred to above was the Sonus... I believe it was Peter Pritchard's (ADC) last foray into phono carts. I used a Sonus Silver on my Philips 308, 'way back when. TOTL was the Sonus Blue. Nice cartridges, but high-compliance and rather persnickety. A Formula 4 would be a good choice for them Actually, I think Sonus might've distributed the Formula 4 for a while, too (?).

Does anyone here have any of the old Polk TT gear? Pictures perhaps?
