Well as most of you know I picked up my reciever yesterday but didnt have time to hook it up. So I get home from work and say ok lets get this done so I yank the panasonic one a put in there for the time being (yamaha rxv1300 was there) and begin the unending patching of speaker wire and cords. I have some borrowed monitor series speakers right now cause I sold my rti's to upgrade to lsi. What do I discover??????

with the NAD reciever these monitors sound better than my rti's did with my yamaha!!!!!

I have my friends monitor 50's, cs1, and monitor 30's plus a psw10 (friend who is selling them by the way and wants way too much money) he now has my old rti's. but to what i heard

listening to xbox HOLY MOLY gunshots make neighbours think about calling in a complaint.

listening to a dvd the eagles "farwell from melbourne" I can actually hear the guitars during the solos as loud as the rest of the music. fell like I'm in the 3rd row of the concert and this dvd has a complex mixture in dts.

tv all I can say is my rears actually made noise watching the satilite.

I cant believe how full and open the music sounds. all channels are in harmony and clear as ice.

Not to mention that the on screen display was the easiest thing I've ever come across

all I can say is now that I've heard this thing I cant believe how much better it is than the yamaha's I've had and I'm never looking back

AMEN

Congrats!

However, don't think it's over yet though by any means. What until you get on the tube kick. ;)

Tell him, crack does not help making good business decisions.

the problem with him is that he just paid 1600 CAD for them from my about 6 months ago. Those were the canadian retail prices plus tax. So he thinks dropping 600 is fair, I tell him that he's gonna have to find a good RUBE to get that kind of money

Those were On Sale at Fry's when I bought them. Regular price was a lot higher. The r30's are now the 300's.

It's hard to beat NAD gear for the money. Their amplifiers in the surround receivers are one of the few companies to rate power at "all channels driven simuntaneously". Most of the typical Jap receivers (Onkyo, Denon, Marantz, Sony, Pioneer, etc) use a rating that let's them show a lot of power...but it never does it in all channels at the same time. Well, maybe with a 1kHz test tone!

Good stuff there...

A smart man told me to always look at the companies who rate their equipment in 2 ohm as well

So I'm going to try and run my lsi15's off this when I get it. I've read all over and have been told that it should power them but I still think maybe I'll get a 3 channel power amp for the fronts and center and run my rears off the reciever

I love the little 320 BEE I bought from Doro...I think I am going to fix the broken Nad receiver I just bought and send in the Sunfire for a refurb.......It is getting a little buggy on me. I am thinking I am going to pick up a older NAD 218 or something along those lines...That 50w/ch. pwned my Carver M200t, and that is rated at 120w/ch.....Next up after source shifts is speakers....Unless I find a killer deal on a set of LSI7s or LSI9s.........
