Music Programs for Computers

I'm incorping a computer into a 2 channel setup in a spare bedroom. With over 300 gigs of Mp3 I decided to try something different. The computer is comprised of spare parts I have lying around.

Something like this:

P4 2.8g
Asus P4P Deluxe MB
2 gigs Kingston PC3200
Seagate 60 gig HD
Lite-On DVD +/- RW Burner
GeForce 5600 Video
Creative Audigy Platinum

Here's the kicker...I use a program called Otsjuke for my playback. Excellent compression and sampling. But, has anyone tried this program? And what programs are you using?

Your input will be greatly appreciated.

Are you going to be streaming the music, or will the computer be part of the system physically? Will you be using a monitor?

Yes a monitor..I want to see what I'm doing. Streaming a little, I do like the choices from internet radio, but mostly playback.

I've used a few and the top three were probably itunes, media monkey and foobar2000. I had the full version of media monkey going for a while but ultimately went back to (hate to say it) itunes simply for how it's search feature works. I always hated how it changed what was queued up when you searched for something in media monkey, whereas itunes lets you select a song out of the library and continue on with the library without having to specify that you want to play the entire library after that one song you searched for.

At work I actually just use the skinned VLC because it's very simple and unobtrusive, things that are pretty essential so that I don't get caught up fiddling with a music player instead of actually doing work.

How do you like otsjuke? I'm always searching for a better player for my computer...
