Maybe they're just invisible now. I've "seen" that happen before.

Maybe a giant squid thing got them.

Paupua/New Guinea(sp?) is a known haven for Pirates in the south pacific. So is Thailand. Both are within striking distance of the Great Barrier Reef. I wouldn't doubt it if they were taken for ransom.

Gotta agree, three guys who own a big yacht and have the time to sail around Australia are obviously rich, it could be a kidnapping.
