Tube rolling... ease/headache?

just thought this would be fun since a lot of people own tube preamps, how hard or easy is it for you to tube roll?
i have the belles 21a tube preamp and have to remove 11 screws when i want to try a new pair of tubes.

Well, with the dodd ELP, it's pretty easy:D I have a BAT and it's a pain,as I always have to drag the carpet for the screws because I'm too lazy to put them in a cup. :cool:

i just leave mine naked all the time. with the top off. otherwise.. it's a bit of a PITA..

I used to keep trying one after another to see which sounded best. What I didn't know at the time is they need to be warmed up several hours before they sound like they should. Kept me chasing my tail until I figured it out... I also keep the lids off everything.
