Between these two if you had to sell one 8600mp or the 940mp?Both fine decks with different qualities, and what would you expect to pay for either one in perfect condition with box and manuls and remotes?:)

I'd take the 940mp myself. If you can find one in like new condition, itd probably be worth around 250-300, $350 if by some really strange chance you could find it new.

I have both sitting here next to me and they are so new looking that it seems as though they have never been used, they came with all hardware, including the mics and are in original boxes,I have to sell one,I know the 940 is touted as one of the finest pioneer put out besides the 930,but I've seen great reviews on the 8600 also.

I had the 8600, it was a nice HU. If I had to choose though, I would probably give the 940 a shot.

Thanks guys,I've owned the 920 and the 930 and loved them,I didn't know if the newer 8600 would compete with the older 940,I do like the color display on the 8600.:)

I'd probably take the 940. If it were the 860, I'd have to think about it. But the 8600? I think I'd try out the 940.

Holy huge pictures batman! I have one of these:

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/product/details/0,,2076_310069882_291159496,00.html

This thing really rocks my socks off...It was worth every bit of the $399 I paid for it....I was a little mad that I had to drop another $50 into it for an iPod interface, but I dealt with it. I'm not into car multi-media, I just wanted a really nice sounding HU....

Thats the best radio thats ever come out of Pioneer aside from their p9 series. Second to that, Id give the 940 the nod. Funny that I have both of them:o

geehs, I'm jealous all I have is this (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/product/details/0,,2076_310069880_35222,00.html) . running stock speakers. Got it when I had my Ranger. Replaced th front door speakers with a cheap pair of thumps, Had a bazooka amp, mono 500 watts @ 2 ohms pushing to Bazooka 1204's. Was pretty nice for what I paid, man I miss having an extended cab. Those things played almost as tight as my sda's . Will never buy bazooka again though. After about 6 months one of the tinsel leads came loose on one of the subs, so I ditched it, and ran one, a couple of months after that the amp just puked for no reason, I popped all four fuses as ceased to work. Next time around I think I might go with some Polks, and an old school Soundstream. Sorry to get off topic.

Later,
dude
