my sda 1s are bothering the hell out of me for some reason the balance is slightly to the right my equalizer slides are even with each other and the balance control is in the middle so the last thing i can think of is my dad who wired up two replacement tweeters years ago is it possible the polarity is wrong? which wire goes to what there are no markings except a red dab of paint does the black(blue?) wire go to it or the white one? will i hurt the tweeter at all if its wrong?

Are any of your dimensional drivers could be out. Check all your driver to see if all are working. Red tab is positive.

Black or blue is positive, white or green is negative.

It could mean that 1 or both of the tweeters are blown. or dying. On my 1.2's, it sounded like the balance was set to 70% on the left. But when I switched the tweeters (i took the left 4 and put them in the right speaker and I took the right tweeters and put them in the left speaker) then the balance switched, it then sounded like 70% of the music was coming from the right speaker.
