Howdy
Have just unplugged my 6 month old Pioneer Elite vsx-80, put it back in it's box and mothballed my Infinity rs 10's. Went and bought a Adcom pre, Adcom 5802 amp, panamax 4300 and a pair of Lsi 25's. Now for the balanced interconnects. Any suggestions, recommendationsand or average dollar amount new or used as I want good but not wasting money/over the top interconnects. Been using rca monster 800 but.... Am just starting to realize how much this fun this hobby is. Thanks.

I use Monster brand balanced interconnects and have no complaints at all. They make a very nice balanced interconnect.

The sky is the limit on cables and permormance will vary. I use cheap pro microphone XLR's but will upgrade soon. Check out some Audioquest cables. Also look at audiogon or used cables for some good deals.

Another vote for Audioquest. Also try Kimber Heros.

I use Mogami Gold Neglex from The Guitar Center for $31.95 @ 3 ft. each. I didn't care for the Cardas (Blue, I think) went with the Mogami about a year ago and haven't touched them since.
