Anybody invest in an audio rack with isolating platforms? I need a new rack and cant decide what to buy and how much to spend.

Right now i am considering

and
http://www.studiotech.com/products/component_racks/performance_series_ps-6/index.html

If anyone has experience or recommendations they would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I don't have an audio rack, but I'm looking to buy one. I think you just sold me on the VTI. The spikes are nice and will definitely help reduce vibrations, plus it is expandable. And at that price, its a no brainer. I prefer the VTI 404 instead of the 304 because the 4 legs appears more stable than the 3 legger.

i did some research at local shops and came to the conclusion that 3 legs is easier to level. If the rack is designed properly then you shouldnt really have to worry about stability. Also, racks at the high end stores ranged between $800- $1,500. That price is pretty amazing.

VTI is the way to go. Only problem I can see is if they get bumped.

engtaz - do you own a VTI? Any reviews? What do you mean by "bumped"

I worry about the shelves getting knocked around since the are just resting on a point and not solidly connected. If you don't have a problem with bumping the shold be great.
