i got nothing, but, the SRS 2's are one of the better SRS's liked by many SRS lovers. so parting them out would be a sad day IMHO.

Those are my favorite model other than 3.1's. My friend owns them.

I hear you. But imagine, 10 years from now, I'm having a party, somebody is too drunk, trips and hits their head into my Passive Raditor and destroys it.
I beat the guy up, and kick him out of my house.
I go to my closet and pull out this Brand new(well used) PR that i got from a pair of 2's, I install it and i'm rockin again!
Ok, maybe I'm crazy. But would'nt it be nice to have a spare PR?
Las
yes it does make sense.. i have some PR's in the closet for a rainy day as well.. but, i didn't have to part out a working pair of SRS2's for them.. I know the large passives are hard to come by anymore...
good luck. do what you feel you must for your future listening. ;)

6510's and 6511's. Some people prefer the 2 to the 1.2. Might want to hear them before thinking of them as parts. Well, those might be the blade/blade version with two 6509's.

I hate to see good speakers go to the parts pile. Being a young guy, I still can't afford a pair of SDAs, but I hope to get some in the next few years. I just hope there are some still available then at a reasonable price...

I did have one, my new puppy thought it was a chew toy :(
Oh yeah...that happens. I did warn: The second paragraph of the edition notes (page ii) states:
"Some readers required replacement copies of the 1st Edition Compendium because their puppies really enjoyed the taste of the paper. The 2nd Edition uses paper that is even better tasting and better smelling than before. Don’t be surprised if your dog, cat, or pony finds it irresistible."

Good news every one!
There was just posted a pair of SDA 1s on the Seattle CL for $200. It does not sound like he treated them that well (rocking block party) but they might be worth it. Have any ya'll heard the SDA 1s and what do you think? That is a price tag that is more manageable.

You should start you own thread on this.

No need to be sorry, I thought you'd get more help with you own thread.:)
My hobby was Custom made knives, I took 4 of my knives and sold them on ebay and got around $3400.00, I still kept a few very nice pieces. The one in the middle of this picture I still own and carry with me everyday.

un-congrats.
Buying these to part out just for a spare passive radiator in case some drunk friend in the future (http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showpost.php?p=628293&postcount=5) might crash into them? I thought you were joking until tonight (http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52581).

That's a good idea, I am getting them thursday and maybe I will have room in my hallway for them. I will post pics of the cabinets, if anybody thinks they need a new SRS 2 cabinet then let me know.
If I don't hear anything from anybody I will just toss the cabinets on Thursday.
I was thinking maybe I can make a piece of furniture out of the cabinets, wouldn't that be cool?
Las
It's a shame that the speaks are in LI. If you were closer to my home I could store them for you until you get a buyer.

I already got a PM from somebody who wants the cabinets. But shipping is going to be a lot. At least $300 to $420
Ouch!!! Forget that unless someone really really needs it. How much, stripped down do you think they weigh?
