guys, i need 10 of you to carry this in the house!! krells rma amps. 600 lps ea.

1000 w/8ohms--2000 w/4ohms--4000 w/2ohms--8ooo w/1ohm and

16,000 watts into .5 ohms. can you imagine the power. probably melt most speakers down.

I can't imagine why it would take 600lbs. to attain that wattage, and there is no way they will deliver anywhere near 16,000, or even 8,000 watts from a 20 amp circuit. I certainly wouldn't want those in my living room.

im guessing you would have to have a few 40 amp dedicated lines. and at $150,000 who can afford it

That is the beauty of a nice amp. They will power damn near anything you plug into them.

You could power your house if it ever loses power. Just plug it into a generator and go from there...

Or a Hybrid car...

Or... a welding arc....

The uses are endless.

No seriously, what type of speakers will do justice to these monsters?

Wilson Audio X2?

German Physiks?

List of expensive (and large) speakers:

I am surprised they didnt have the CAT MBX goldrush speakers listed in that list. If I recall correctly they were more than a mill a pair 5-6 years ago? and were true monsters weighing in at over a ton. If anyone has a pic post it.:)

Those are not amps. They are warp cores.

Where the fuses go.

Don't the new powerhouse Krell amps come with modded flux capacitors?

I'm almost certain Doc Brown designed these krell rma amps himself. . . after he slipped in the bathroom and hit his head on the sink.

Next time you watch Star Trek TNG, look at the bottom right of the warp core. "krell"

Those are massive! I am pretty sure they could heat a house in the dead of winter too...I bet you could blow some ballistic windows out too.....:D

I think in a pinch those could run the warp generators on the Enterprise.

"I'm givin her all she's got capt'n, she can't take much more" in my best Scotty voice.

Nice statement pieces but pretty impractical for the general audio geek.
