Hey guys, I just got a HSU VFT-2Mk1 subwoofer and am playing around
with connections to my Yamaha RX-V659 A/V receiver. I have aquired
both an Audioquest Coax cable and Audioquest single "Ruby" interconnect.
A couple questions, I have tried both cables with the system via the Sub
out to line in with a Y cable. I don't really hear any difference but I am
still playing.
Which cable would you guys use and why?
My mains are Monitor 10As. Right now I am running via A/V setup mains
and satellites SMALL and LFE crossover at 80Hz? (Not sure yet how to
tell what the receiver is using, I'm guessing) The sub crossover is off.
I notice some boominess and lack of low mids on music. Understand I am
still tuning the room/system.
Would running the 10s as large, using the Sub crossover at ~ 60hz clean this up? I know this is a commanly asked topic but it can't hurt to ask!
Thanks!

try 10's a small and try sub at 80, 100, and 120hz. find what sounds best to you. everybody has a theory but you ears will tell you what right.
Have fun,
