How heavy is the pioneer?

AndyGwis
05-22-2007, 09:21 AM
I think somewhere around 18 lbs. Not overly heavy. I'll see if I can find an exact number anywhere.

Want your 7's back on a partial for the 600's? I want something slimmer for that room.

Uhhhh, probably not. Have you tried Atkins with the 7s?

I'd love to accomodate you, but my spacing situation is dire, and if I had any room, it would be for those SDA 2Bs I found in Austin.

Can't you move the Monitors on to another local yokel then come get the 600s?

Jimbo - PM received and returned. Dibs to you on the PE.

I'd love for you to get them, too. PM returned with shipping costs. PE will be ready to ship tomorrow.

BTW, Jim, you are starting to challenge DaveMuell, Sami, and myself for "most likely to respond to an FS thread, regardless of item or location." I like your style.

Edited. Knew I'd have at least one typo in there. Thanks, RT.

It's a made in England NAD also, very robust - one of the NAD amps that were very highly regarded and somewhat sought after.

Thanks for the added info, Russ. Price just jumped to $200, and I'm now taking secret bids. I knew I should've labeled this "The Greatest little amp to ever come out of London!!!" I'm also fairly confident it was used as a studio amp for some of the Beattles at one point or another. :D

In all sincerity, this is my GF's dad's amp, and he asked me to sell it for a fair price. $125 sounded fair enough.

I have one Nad left.:D
Andy, I got a new camera, you need a tired old 3mp HP camera? Free for you.
Sounds like all you can afford right now.

AndyGwis

Keith, thanks for the generous offer. This is actually the second time I have broke the LCD of this camera. It's easy to drop in the new LCD, but like $65 for a new one.

I'm bad with breakable objects. This was the GF's camera for 2 years with no issues. Then, 2 hours in my back pocket a Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas Mexico, and I break the LCD. So, I buy it from her, replace the LCD, and all is good. Then, leave it on the floor a month later, accidentally set my laptop down on it, and Whammo, broke the LCD again.

I actually have 3 NADs right now (a real oddity), but two are a little roughed up. Not terrible, but not something I'd be proud to put my name on.

Steve, I always pronounce it "nad" just for the kicks.

Should it be pronounced EN-AY-DEE?

Just received an email from a fellow polkie, digitalman. He has Dallas relatives and wants first crack at the CS400. Doesn't have enough posts yet, but since it will be a local deal, I'm okay working with a noob.

OK im curious about the trilaminate are the they the tweets with the 3 holes screw mounts silver domes.....

AndyGwis
05-24-2007, 01:19 PM
The tweeters in the RT600s are the SL6511s, replacements for the originals ordered from Polk. They are a darker, charcoal grey and pop in to the speaker frame, no screws needed.

The tweeter in the CS400 is original trilam, and it's a lighter grey/silver color. Same thing here, it snaps into the speakers frame and doesn't screw in at all.

Andy:

How much for shipping on the NAD to 22902? A rough estimate?

And since this could be my 1st amp purchase (ever) would this do my rti10's and csi3 justice, or should I hold off for more juice?

Thanks!

AndyGwis
06-14-2007, 05:28 PM
It's only a two channel, stereo amp, so you could run 2 speakers at most.

It could power your CSi3 in bridged mode pretty efficiently. I wouldn't put it on big floor standers like the Rti10's, tho.

This amp would be great for a secondary, bedroom, garage, outdoor speaker system. Small, runs cool, reliable, sounds very good at moderate volume. But, probably not a great HT amp (not enough headroom).

Shipping would run about $15, methinks.

Cool, thx for the honest response. I'll hold off for something that can handle the Rti10's then...

Take your 7's back in trade for the 600's + cash.

AndyGwis
07-05-2007, 03:07 PM
Further reduced prices and re-bumping.

Would consider trades (+ cash consideration) only if Lsi7's (ebony) are involved.
