Shame that they had "discontinued" rosewood when I bought my 2nd one. Look how lame the "rosenut" looks next to that gorgeous rosewood veneer.
This is where my subs' best location was - in the back of the room, 1/3 of the way across. So I stacked the 2nd one on top of it. My wife simply could not help me lift that thing, but my Dad could.

The entire room is available - the frequency response chart was the flattest right where the subs sit in that pic.

How did you determine that you needed two of them?

dorokusai - I don't need two of them, but through a wacky turn of events that included one bad ( I think - SVS would not confirm and still won't confirm this ) PB12+, I wound up with duals. Really hard to convince a guy to return a thing like this - even when there's TWO of them in the basement. Nobody can have too much bass, right?

This is it at present. There's not much to be done about the hump at 17Hz, as the BFD'd EQ only goes down to 20Hz and so does the onboard PEQ on the subs. I could throw a wide filter on at 20Hz but then I'd have a dip. Nobody seems to mind extra decibels that low down though :p .
No, no danger of the top one falling off. The subs do not move, believe it or not. A wine glass put on top of one would be safe from danger at full volume during the plane crash scene from Flight of the Phoenix. But if you put a wine glass on my subs we're gonna have words...
