New Car, New Stereo

I'm in the market for a new car. My short list is the Camry V6 SE and the VW GTI. I drove the Camry today and their $1000 upgraded JBL stereo really sounded bad. Much worse than the Bose system in my 96 Maxima :eek: . So that got me thinking in dash GPS/CD/MP3 player. Anyone purchased one of these units lately? I found a few out on Crutchfield with prices going up to $2g's before upgrading speakers and amplification. Any insight into key features such as hard drive based on CD based GPS?

Does it have a double din? If so, I'd highly recommend the Pioneer D3. Its one of the best priced units for what it does.
