Any Pixies fans?

I'm embarrassed to say I'm listening to Sufer Rosa for the first time from start to finish. I missed the boat on this band in the pre-grunge days, but since discovering them I've always dug Doolittle and Come on Pilgrim...but I think Sufer Rosa is the best 'em.

Haven't gotten into the later stuff. Should I?

Get everything they've ever done, lock yourself in a hidden bunker, and play it all until your ears rot off your head. It's cool you dig Surfer Rosa. Doolittle is certainly more accesible -- the "chick" album. But Surfer Rosa is pure bombastic goodness. I'd actually have to pick Tromp Le Monde as my favorite. It seems to take all the best parts of Doolittle and Surfer Rosa and mix it all together with flava.

Funny thing about The Pixies is that no one really listened to 'em in the late '80's. I didn't pick up on them until the mid-'90's. In fact, I've never met a person that bought a Pixies album upon release. So don't sweat it:D
