I plan to use some new Monitor 5s for bookshelves and want to lie them on their sides. In the day, before half the board was born, I was told that you should not do this to a speaker intended as floor standing. But then I was told a lot of stuff...."hey smoke this, it won't affect your brain". Anyone see a problem to lying these down. I know someone here does this with 7s. Thanks

For 2 channel listening I'd say no way. As a surround it probably would sound alright. I doubt you would do any damage to the magnets, etc. if that's what you are asking

Any damage is an issue (if someone says so). I was more concerned about SQ since the speaker wes constructed to have the drivers on top of each other and not beside one another. Maybe a dumbshot question.
