I'm listening to the new Wilco at work at I like it a lot. Very mellow, more like Tweedy's early stuff. Sounds like it's really well recorded, but I'll have to give it a go on my home system to know for sure.
Anybody heard it yet?

Had it for two weeks. It'll be REALLY interesting to see if all of their new fangled fans like it. That's all I have to say.....

You think, Demi?
I heard this one was a bit more accessible. Certainly more accessible than Yankee Hotel Foxtrot

Mmm...Don't know, I thought YHF was their unintentional masterpiece that everyone would love. This...this seems like more to his roots, but that's just me. This is very Wilco & Billy Bragg-ish.

But it was soooooo "experimental". You got admit, the average listener couldn't make it 15 minutes through that album. I think it sold well based on critical reviews, but it's hard to find someone that has ever had that album on serious repeat.
I can't really comment on the new one, since I haven't heard it yet. Maybe I'll pick it up tonight. Besides... hasn't Jeff Tweedy killed himself already?:D

You're not done with the Pixies yet. Put it back in the CD player, stat:D

My bad ZB...back to the Pixies.
By the way, I ordered Trompe le Monde based upon your recommendation. Better be good!

You shan't be disappointed. It's been known to do everything from remove liver spots to force cats to dry hump dogs.
It's a magical piece of music.

I really like Sky Blue Sky, had it about a week. I keep going back and listening to it each day. Very mellow and well put together. And its a good alternative to the feedback in the -new- Dinosaur Jr. that I also keep listening to.

Finally got Sky Blue Sky today...so far so good, I haven't even gotten through it all yet.
I'm a "new" fan just in the last few years and Ghost and Yankee albums I thought were both excellent albums. Simple can be good as this album seems to be but the past two albums were...well better than excellent IMO.
I have to start working my way backwards through their catalog and get a couple of Son Volt albums as well.
Seeing Wilco 2x next month, can't wait. I saw them last year around this time and was very impressed. It rocked but was still personable and meaningful all at once.
One of the 2-3 best shows I've seen in the last 3-4 years.
