Hey everyone, I'm putting DB650 in front and db690 in back. My question is the polk c400.4 to much RMS power for the db650? They are rated at 60 rms and the polk c400.4 is rated at 75 rms at 4 ohms. Has anyone else had this setup?

It should not be a problem. When you install them, make sure to give them some time to break in. And then when you want to crank them up, just make sure they are not distorting and back off the volume a little. 15W RMS should not be a big deal, especially when Polk rates all of their speakers by RMS anyway.

Think of it like this - your car can do 100 mph. So does that mean youre driving around at 100 mph from the moment you start it up?
Same thing with an amp. An amp that can make 75 watts per channel wont be making 75 watts the entire time. Music is dynamic with high points and low points. Use proper gain settings and common sense with the volume control and you could run a 150 watt amp. As long as you dont push the speakers beyond their thermal or suspension limits, youll be fine.

i actually would consider the 400.4 'just right' for those speakers. anything smaller and you're kinda wasting your time.
then again, i'm a power nut.
