What is everybody doing with their center channel speaker? I have the CSI3 and was thinking about hanging it just beneath the plasma that will be on the wall. Are people just putting a shelf in the wall to sit it on?
Looking for some ideas. Right now I was thinking maybe a shelf for that and two more to put the FXI3 high up on the wall.
Any suggestions for how to hang or put up any of those speakers would be great.

I have my center channel on my TV stand. However, this will change as I would like to mount my center channel by my projection screen.

Well issue is here that there may not be any tv stand in the beginning. What me and the gf are going to do is mount the plasma on the wall. Behind it is a closet with shelves and were going to put all th electronics in there and go with a logitech harmony 890 remote. Should be real clean with just speakers and tv to start.
It's possible the gf might want to put a tiny chest type item beneath the tv but even then the center channel would be about 2 feet lower then it should be.

you can always angle your center channel if it is lower to the floor.

Two feet would need to be angled up a decent amount what are you using to do that?

Before I got my CSi3 (tapered cabinet) I used wedge type doorstops.

There is no reason you cannot put it on a shelf if you wish too, I would suggest putting it under the TV if you do this and have room. Polk now has an outstanding set of inwalls including a center channel, they can be retrofitted into existing walls, just another option for you.
I seem to recall the FXi3 had brackets on the back for you to mount them to the wall. Somewhere around 3ft. above the seated listening area would work for you.

I'd sell it and use a nice inwall..............

Perhaps they do we bought the set already but I haven't done more then set up the RTI 8 to the reciever for radio. Condo won't be built till end of july/august and we don't even settle until August 29 so I see no reason to open everything right now.
So I hope your right saves me a lot of trouble of mounting shelves in the corners for the FXI3

Mine is on a shelf right now as well. However once I get everything moved into the theater room I will use a center channel stand as well. Sanus makes a few nice ones .
