G'day everybody,
I am the proud owner of a pair of rti12s - they only cost $2600 here in Australia!
I have bought a csi 5 but it will be August until the container arrives in the country. In the meantime, I will be having an entertainment unit built but am unsure how high the centre speaker recess will have to be to accomodate the speaker in the 'angled upwards' position.
The hi-fi shop does not have a demo model from which to measure and the Polk website does not provide this measurement.
Can anyone help?

If no one gets back to you beforehand, I'll measure mine tonight and let you know the results

CSi5
7-11/16" H x 24" W x 14-1/2" D
( 19.53cm H x 60.96cm W x 36.83cm D )
Hope this helps

Thanks guys,
Engtaz those dimensions are for the speaker in it's 'flat' position. I am after the dimension of height in the 'pointing up' position, but thanks anyway.
Schwingding I may have to take you up on your offer to measure your speaker if there are no further replies.
Thanks and regards,
FishHead

About 8 3/4 in the upward position. Wow, I forgot how heavy this thing is!

Welcome to the club Fishhead, any plans on running those 12s on any kind of power amps. Im biamping mine with 170 watts on top, 200 on the bottom and they sound awesome. Just a thought for your future upgrades in your HT.

G'day Shep,
I have not bought a new receiver yet but am leaning towards an Onkyo or Yamaha at around 130w a channel. Will definitely use the spare rear channels to bi-wire. It seems like the thing to do!

FishHead,
Just saw the thread. Nice to see others with the rti12's. I also have the csi5, it was actually kind of difficult to find a HDTV stand that would handle it. ( in my budget at least) what did you end up purchasing?
Sherardp,
How much of a difference did it make when you bi-amped the rti12's?
