Has not just one, but two toroidal transformers, one for the front three channels, and one for the back four!

I have one and just purchased it brand new about two months ago, in the unopened box for $1095 + shipping. One thousand is a good price for this really good AVR!

Bill,
I don't know if I remember correctly, but did you ever get your NAD AVR fixed?

I'd rather pay the $1100 new, and have a warranty.

I've got the same receiver & everything you read & hear about it 100% true. NAD is known for their no-nonsense approach to their gear. When they say they design for music first, they mean it. If you can pick one up for $1000 that's a great deal. Don't forget about having no warrarty though. You might want to check with Joe (hearingimpaired) to find out where he got his brand new with warranty for only $100 more. Either way you can't go wrong!

The warranty might be transferable if it is within the time period. Phil I fixed the spelling of my screen name!

I just checked with the seller the T773 is still under the two year warranty but it is for the original owner and not transferable.

Refurb for $1099 and new for $1299. (http://www.spearitsound.com/nad/t773.asp) Not a bad deal...
For those of you running NAD with LSi's - do you find the combo a little to laid back for Home Theater or not really? (I have not heard an NAD AVR with LSi's, just the T163)
