In-wall shielding question

Most tower & center channel speakers are shielded, at least from Polk anyway. The in-walls that Polk provides are not shielded. Polk claims that you need at least 1 foot from the TV to prevent video interference. I am installing the speakers 16'' from the TV and I'm still getting a slight distortion in the picture around the edge closest to the speaker.

Is there anything that I can do within the studs that will simulate the shielding used in tower speakers that will not have an adverse effect on the performance of the in-wall?

search for bucking magnets.You would place them on the magnets of your in-walls to cancel out the magnetic fields.
