i have monitor10 and i was wondering if it was better to use the speaker terminal on rear of 450 sub or to use only the rca connections

If your receiver has a mono or LFE out hook that up to the "unfiltered in" on your sub.
It's the easiest and least expensive way to go.

it has 2 outputs and they are full range harman kardon receiver
